Key Points

Fentanyl is Deadly — Even in Small Amounts

Just two milligrams of fentanyl can be fatal. It's often mixed into other drugs without the user’s knowledge, making every use potentially deadly.

Fake Pills Are Everywhere

Counterfeit pills made to look like prescription medications often contain fentanyl. If it's not from a pharmacy, it could kill you.

You’re Not Alone — Help Is Available

Whether you're struggling with substance use or know someone who is, local resources, treatment options, and support networks are here for you.

It’s Not Just a Big City Problem — It’s Here in Our Community

Fentanyl-related overdoses are happening across Imperial County. No neighborhood, school, or family is immune.

Talk Early. Talk Often.

Parents, teachers, and community leaders can save lives by having open, honest conversations with youth about the risks of fentanyl and other drugs.

Let’s Act, Learn, and Protect

The IVDC Fentanyl Awareness Campaign is focused on providing valuable information to the community that will help in the fight against fentanyl in Imperial County. Let’s be aware of the dangers of fentanyl, learn about the resources and services that are available, so that we can protect our families and community from this rising threat.
